The Community Clinic at Grow Mindfully offers a service to the community by providing quality psychotherapeutic services to clients in a broad range of financial situations.
The Community Clinic is a training space in which Hakomi Trainee Therapists provide low cost therapy as part of their advanced psychotherapy training. This gives clients the opportunity to try out mindfulness-based, somatic therapies at a lower cost than usual.
Our vision for the Community Clinic is to offer affordable support to the public, whilst also providing therapists with a supportive environment in which they can further their professional development, fulfil supervisory hours and work towards additional professional certification.
Sessions at the Community Clinic at Grow Mindfully cost $50 for one hour.
Trainee Therapists have a range of psychotherapeutic training and experience, and all are working under the supervision of senior certified and registered therapists.
In exchange for low cost therapy, we ask that clients allow the sessions to be video-taped for supervision purposes. Some parts of the video will be shown by the Trainee Therapist either in individual supervision or small group supervision with other Trainee Therapists and a certified/registered Supervisor.
We understand that this material is of a highly personal & sensitive nature. The Trainee Therapists and their Supervisors agree to observe the professional ethics and standards of the therapist’s regulatory body in relation to confidentiality, the safekeeping of the video/audio material, and their use in supervision. Clients will be asked to sign a Consent Form for the sessions to be video-taped which protects this sensitive material.
Trainee Therapists are bound by their Professional Associations Code of Conduct. All Trainee Therapists are covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance.
The Community Clinic offers clients the opportunity to increase self-understanding, foster change at a deep level within themselves, and broaden their scope of choice around challenging issues.
Trainee Therapists at the clinic take care to create a safe and supportive environment, where the client can explore, and make sense of self-limiting patterns of thought and behaviour that impede the client from living life fully.
The clinic offers therapy for individuals struggling with:
My name is Sara Maywood and I am a Hakomi Graduate. It’s been through my training that I’ve come to realise that being able to like oneself is how a human being can comfortably interact with others. What I hope to offer is a quiet, safe place where the client can explore old patterns and beliefs that are holding them back from being themselves. In mindfulness we can notice the clouds blocking our true shining selves. Therefore, the Hakomi session will centre around finding this state inside.
I am a practicing psychotherapist and a Hakomi Graduate. I enjoy offering clients a Hakomi approach, a gentle, yet powerful, form of self-discovery grounded in mindfulness which offers a space of loving presence, empathy and non-judgement. I am passionate about supporting people to gain a better understanding of themselves in order to move towards greater joy and fulfillment. I bring to my sessions my broader experience as social and behaviour change consultant, intrepid traveler and a mother of two. If you would like to gain greater insight around your life experiences I would welcome the opportunity to support you on this healing journey.
As a Hakomi Graduate, I am offering sessions to explore one’s self and one’s life experiences with compassion and mindfulness. My sessions build on my extensive experience as an organisational coach, management consultant and Hoffman Process Facilitator. Hakomi psychotherapy works holistically in the present moment integrating mind, heart and body and the past with the present. Honouring the complexity of what it means to be human - all parts of one’s self are welcome. Together we will explore new ways forward. Grounded, calm and supportive I create a safe space of deep, attuned listening with compassion, empathy and non-judgement. Sessions available for either individuals or couples.
Hello, as a counsellor and psychotherapist I have a deep listening for the unique struggles and wisdom each client brings to therapy. I work collaboratively with you in a safe, empathic and sensitive environment to explore what challenges and supports you. As a Hakomi psychotherapy graduate I respect your pace and encourage an attitude of curiosity and discovery as to how your past is influencing your present experience. Together we repattern old beliefs and integrate healing that sustains a greater sense of wellbeing and emotional freedom. I welcome you to work with me.
I am Bevan Pfeiffer, a dedicated student currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and a certified yoga teacher. In our work together, I aim to create a serene and supportive space where we can connect to a higher sense of self. Through mindful practices and conscious dialogue, I guide you towards self-discovery and conscious awakening. My goal is to help you uncover inner peace, resilience, and clarity, enabling you to navigate life's challenges with grace and insight. Together, we will explore the depths of your being, foster a sense of inner harmony, and cultivate a conscious connection to your true self. I look forward to accompanying you on this transformative journey.
